Our marketing agency client in Colorado is looking for a remote Freelance Project Manager to work with their team!
This position is fully remote — we are glad to consider all United States-based applicants!
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with account managers and creative teams to define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop scopes of work and comprehensive project plans, outlining budgets, tasks, schedules, and resource requirements; projects vary in size, from banner execution to complex emails and integrated campaigns
- Manage projects as they go through the project lifecycle, including:
- scheduling meetings
- participating in internal team briefings and internal check-ins
- scheduling proofreader time on the proofing calendar, routing creative
deliverables through the studio, and double-checking that edits have been
completed - taking and distributing meeting notes
- tracking profitability of projects
- liaising with developer partners
- coordinating asset and file requests
- Utilize project management software to monitor project progress, track
milestones, and manage tasks, including updating schedules and resources - Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Proactively address challenges and obstacles that may impact project timelines or quality of work and communicate solutions to relevant stakeholders
- Work closely with account managers, creative leadership and resource manager
to ensure projects are executed on time and within budget constraints - Monitor project profitability, communicate any scope and timeline deviations, and make recommendations for efficient resource allocation
- Communicate with external clients regarding project status and updates
- Participate in Project Retrospectives
- Collaborate with team members to analyze successes and areas for improvement, contributing to ongoing process enhancements
- Work closely with resource manager to plan for current and future projects
- Develop and implement strategies for problem-solving in response to unexpected circumstances or to streamline workflow
Qualifications:
- College graduate with a bachelor’s degree or comparable professional training
- Project Management professional with 3–7 years of relevant digital and print experience who has worked on or led integrated projects at the campaign level
- Comprehensive knowledge of long-form documents, eBooks, social media and presentation decks
- Exposure to print work and understanding of various print form factors (e.g., direct mail, packaging, stationery, and signage), processes, and techniques
- Excellent communicator with superior written and verbal communication skills
- Expert in building schedules and scopes of work
- Organized and expert multitasker with the ability to remain calm and enthusiastic in a deadline-driven environment
- Ability to manage multiple moving pieces and projects, and problem-solve with the ability to adapt to changing project needs
- Team player and a knowledgeable collaborator with a keen attention to detail
- Financial acumen to manage project budgets and resource allocation effectively
- Experience working with technology clients is a plus
- Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and software
