Chief Strategy Officer

Our client, an in-house ad agency for a multinational electronics brand, is looking for an experienced and dynamic Chief Strategy Officer!

As a core member of our client's leadership team, you will work closely with the President and COO, playing a central role in creating and executing strategic marketing plans and initiatives for the brand.

This role requires a strategic thinker passionate about building brands and an excellent record in marketing communication strategy, data-driven marketing, and digital marketing.

Location: Northern NJ (Hybrid — 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the President and COO to develop and implement the agency's strategic plans and organizational initiatives.
  • Assist the brand's marketing executives in communication planning—identify roles for comms and channels, including cutting-edge platforms and new media.
  • Formalize and lead the agency's strategy planning process, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Manage communication and foster relationships between stakeholders, including internal and external teams.
  • Establish and lead the Strategy and Planning team, driving excellence in strategic thinking and execution.
  • Champion the agency's branded solutions with a deep understanding of ad product benefits, capabilities, and features to provide creative recommendations and best practices to clients.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience
  • Primary experience in marketing communication strategy, data-driven marketing, and or digital marketing
  • Experience at an established creative agency, brand creative group, or a creative role within a technology company
  • Confidence in brand construction, demonstrating a keen interest in brands beyond their communications
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate research and translate findings into actionable plans
  • Exceptional organizational and strategic thinking skills: capable of long-term and short-term planning
  • Persuasive, flexible, and collaborative; a team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience with syndicated research tools such as MRI, Mintel, TraQline, and ComScore is a plus.
  • Experience utilizing Site Analytics, DMP, DSP, DCO technologies for audience-based planning, targeting, activation, measurement, and optimization

Salary: $150,000 - 200,000
